Important Notes for Successful Hatching:
- Do Not Wash the Eggs
Only use clean, unwashed, and undamaged eggs. Avoid using deformed, cracked, or irregularly shaped eggs. - Use Only Fertilized Eggs
Ensure eggs are fertilized—unfertilized or commercially sold eggs will not hatch. To check, use the egg candler: look for signs like opaque floc spots near the yolk. - Use Fresh Eggs
Eggs should be fresh and laid within:- 7 days for chicken and duck eggs
- 10 days for goose eggs
Using older eggs significantly reduces hatch success rate.
